Nikhil and Nicole: The Nicks Get Knotty!!

For Nikhil and Nicole, both Mumbaikars, who had met at work (he proposed to her on her last day at work!) and emerged victoriously as a couple despite the challenges of a long distance relationship, marriage was the obvious next stop.

The groom with his men!

The widely travelled Nicole, the person behind the up and coming travel blog, ‘The Nicologue’ had always longed to get married in ‘the land of fun, sand and the sun’, and was elated when Nikhil admitted that Goa was where he too preferred to get hitched.

The theme for the wedding was ‘Outdoor Autumn’! Sounds impressive, doesn’t it? It certainly was! Everything from the invitation card and the décor to the bridal bouquet, boutonnieres and corsages were styled using a delightful blend of warm, autumn hues.

The bridal party!

It surely taught us that while planning a white wedding, one need not restrict oneself to only soft muted colours.

On the day of the wedding, Nicole was dressed in the bridal outfit of her dreams- a flowy, princess style gown with crystals embroidered into it for that additional sparkle.

Vision in white!

She tips her hat to the designer (check out the Recommendations below for more details) for bringing her vision to life and ensuring that she looked nothing less than a princess while she was getting wed to her very own dapper Prince Charming!

Nestled serenely amid countless coconut trees, the heavenly Our Lady of Milagres Chapel in Majorda village was where the couple said “I do”.

It's official now!

Celebrations continued at George Bay, Utorda where the sound of the sea waves crashing on the shores nearby provided a natural music to the event. The couple themselves made a statement when they walked into the reception to the tunes of Armin Van Buuren’s “Intense” soundtrack, as opposed to the customary romantic wedding melody.

The 300 strong wedding party grooved to the mostly Spanish music, blended with electronic and line dancing numbers, fabulously put together by DJ Ryan Nogar, before enjoying a feast of authentic Goan Cuisine comprising of Pork Sorpotel, Chicken Cafreal, Fish Salads, Roast Meats and many more lip smacking delicacies.

In the spotlight!

Kudos to our meticulous bride (who doubled up as the event manager) for pulling off a stunning wedding and a show-stopping reception.

We at Christories wish Nikhil and Nicole all the fun, love and laughter that life has to offer for the rest of their lives!
